since we did a baseball nursery for ben,
we decided to have that be the theme for his
1st birthday.
the invitation
decorations and details
sign sending people to the backyard
happy birthday banner
it's hard to get a good picture because it was so long!
i alternated pictures of him at each month
and the letters of happy birthday
the food
home plate cake
i set up a concession stand out of
two windows in our porch
the desserts
i made the cake pops, cake and chocolate marshmallows
the cookies are from just-iced on etsy
the ballpark concessions
the cotton candy cones were a big hit...
but the hot dog vendor made the party!
i am one banner
games
pin the ball on the bat
perfect pitch
(try to throw 4 balls through the hoop)
pinata
party favors
bats and assorted balls
his shirt says BEN
and then around the ball says "i am one" & "birthday boy"
i ordered it from my personalized tshirt on etsy
she also made the custom shirts from ben's birth announcement.
it was very rainy all day so i didn't get to decorate the yard as much as i would've liked. but it didn't rain during the party so i'm not complaining!
a couple ideas that i didn't do:
*vases with dirty baseballs and a ribbon around
*play a baseball game and have t-shirts made up
*a scoreboard made to look like the one at wrigley field
*have all the guests sign a baseball
