so this is our powder "room".
when we looked at the house this was almost a deal breaker.
you can actually sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time, so it's really a time saver.
the previous owners were big birdhouse fans, which is wonderful.
but not my favorite!
when we (someday) remodel the house this will become a hallway so we didn't want to put much money or effort into it. so i decided to paint over everything!
there was even wallpaper on the windowsill and inside the soapdish thingy!
first i primed over all of the tile and wallpaper.
if you try this yourself, i would've sanded over all of the tile after the priming because the brush stokes showed through the paint in some areas when i was done.
and here is the after:
ta da!
those are metal flower kissing balls in the soapdishes above, because who uses real soap anymore?
this was the light fixture that was already here! i never realized it was so pretty!
here's a close up of the tile
and here's my butterfly art from my last post
i think it's a pretty big change!
LOVE your butterfly art. The whole bathroom is so refreshing now! Lezlee

What is the name of the color you chose? I love it and want to use it in my bathroom?
ReplyDeletethe color is grey stone from the "urban loft" line by ralph lauren. although about a week after i grabbed the swatch, i went to have it made and home depot didn't carry ralph lauren anymore so they had to color match it. maybe they still have the old color books???
