avengers assemble!

like every young boy,
my nephew loves super heros.
for his 6th birthday, my sister planned
an avengers party.
i designed all the printable party goods.
i thought captain america's shield made the perfect invite!
the party info was on the back
we added a star cutout (over the printed star) with a foam mounting square.
......................

food table
i designed each pennant of the banner to represent one of the avengers.
ironman, captain america, hawkeye, thor, hulk and spiderman
how awesome is this "hulk punch"?!
it's ginger ale, lime sherbet, and pineapple juice (and a little green food coloring).
my sister cut the hulk face out and taped it to her glass drink jar.
the kids LOVED it!
arc reactor cheese tray
she also served
captain america's shield cookies,
thor hammers (marshmallows stuck to the end of a pretzel)
and spiderman oreos (oreo with red string licorice "spider legs")
my sister MADE this cake!
...................

activities
each kids got to pick a mask
she made this giant target practice out of a tarp.
the kids tried to throw a captain america frisbee through the holes.
in the middle was a captain america target made out of tissue paper.
everyone went crazy when they broke through it!
this is my nutty kid.
he wouldn't participate in any of the games but stood behind this target taunting
"you can't hit me!"
fun photo booth with cardboard buildings to stand behind
my cute niece!

you know what would make a good party? ...garbage

so i have a friend who was looking for a custom party.
i love her because she asks her kids what
they want for their party and then makes it happen.
well her very creative son asked for a garbage truck party.
although this sounds funny,
it's not actually that surprising.
what 2 or 3 year old boy doesn't
LOVE garbage trucks?!

at first i was a little hesitant.
i mean, what could i design that didn't look...
well like garbage.
but still be garbage.
i think we got it.
mom and i were happy with the designs
and he was happy with the garbage truck.
