a previous client asked me to create party goods
for her daughter's 3rd birthday.
she wanted it to be based off of ratatouille the movie,
but was planning a parisian dinner party.
she shared the party goods that she liked and
i used those as my inspiration for the design.
the invitation background is red, pale blue and taupe chevron
the party goods had these great details that i tried to incorporate
{like the scallops and dashed lines}
i loved that they were so free form.
{the napkin from meri meri}
{cup from meri meri}
cupcake toppers
for the banner, i used the same chevron background
and coordinating papers from the toppers.
the letters are glittery black card stock
if you are interested in any of these party goods,
contact me through my etsy shop and they
will be available by request.
i have so much to catch up on! so many parties to share!
today i will start with a custom 1st birthday party.
i did these items for a long time friend.
she wanted to use the book "a very hungry caterpillar".
she and i both loved the bright polka dots
featured throughout the book.
for the banner i used the polka dots as the background
and cut letters from green glitter paper.
the mom also really liked the sun,
so i incorporated that here too.
*******
we both loved the idea we had seen on pinterest of
using the foods from the book.
i made signs for each food which she stuck
in the plates or bowls of food with kebob sticks.
for saturday, we made a larger version with
the menu of foods being served for dinner.
*******
of course we had to include the caterpillar!
i designed (with SCAL) & cut this cute guy out on the cricut.
he was the perfect size to hang on the highchair.
i think that this is such a cute idea for a first birthday party
and there are so many cute ideas on pinterest!
